‘DISCOVERY LAKES & MOUNTAINS’ MAGAZINE TO INSPIRE TRAVELLERS

Today sees the launch of ‘Discover Lakes & Mountains’, a new take on a traditional holiday brochure, styled as a travel magazine designed to inspire people to visit new destinations and to drive holidaymakers to digital content.

The 56-page magazine highlights the best bits of a summer holiday, with expert recommendations to help readers narrow down the options for their next summer holiday. It’s full of insightful information on countries: including lists of festivals, best walks and family adventures as well as features on mountain railways and on thermal spa resorts.

Managing Director Chris Logan: We’ve filled our Discover magazine with top tips about the Italian lakes and Austrian mountains and our less well-known Lakes and Mountains destinations, Switzerland, Slovenia and Germany, have also got space to shine.”

“It’s also full of interesting articles, for example you can find out all there is to know about Lake Garda, from picking the right resort and accommodation, to filling your time on those long, sunny days. Or read about our Lake Como versus Lake Maggiore article which will help you  to decide which other Italian lake is right for you.”

The first edition of Discover Lakes & Mountains features Austria’s bucket list of must-dos including reaching the highest point in the country, the Grossglockner peak, savouring sweet treats in a mountain hut and walking the awe-inspiring skywalk on the Dachstein glacier. Or find out more the secrets of fairy-tale Slovenia, inviting readers to explore this little-known country which has Europe’s shortest coastline.

Lakes & Mountain holidays are all about scenery and culture as well as activities and experiences for couples and families alike. And to help narrow down the wide range of over 300 places in over 60 resorts to stay, our experts have put the spotlight on some of their favourites – like the family-friendly Hotel Majestic Palace in Malcesine and the luxury A-Rosa Resort Kitzbühel, one of the newest hotels to join the TUI Platinum collection, just to name a few.

Holiday prices start from £479 per person (four sharing) for a week self-catering accommodation at the three-star Poiano Apartments in Garda on Lake Garda, Italy, departure on 12 May 2018 including return flights from Gatwick and transfers.  Subject to availability and change.
